Melissa is an Anusara Elements Yoga teacher who loves weaving heart-centered themes into her alignment-based yoga practice. She enjoys creating accessible sequences for yogis of all levels. Her sequences integrate asana, breath work, meditation, as well as restorative elements for a comprehensive experience to improve strength, flexibility, and balance. She is also trained in Yoga of 12 Step Recovery (Y12SR) and works to create a safe space in her classes for those who have been impacted by addiction. Melissa received her ASHY-200 in 2018 and Y12SR certification in 2019 and is now working toward her Anusara Inspired Teacher 300-hour certification. She has a Masters of Education from the University of Utah. She continues to broaden her knowledge of the art and practice of yoga and has taken trainings and workshops from Tiffany Wood, Nikki Meyers, Douglas Brooks, Bill Mahony, Adam Ballanger, Jackie Prete, Chaya Spencer, and John Seelye.
